The Imagination Works is an amateur software development company based in Alberta, Canada. Most iWorks products are developed using Clickteam's Multimedia Fusion 1.5. This software allows for the development of software such as games and utilities without any knowledge of programming. Extensions can be downloaded to widen the software's functionality and subsequently, the products that are developed with it. Previous versions include The Games Factory, Click and Create and the original Klik & Play. Recently, Clickteam released a new generation of products, The Games Factory 2, Multimedia Fusion 2 and Multimedia Fusion 2 Pro, with each version carrying a different value in terms of capability and cost. Please see the links section for more related sites, in particular the community sites where you can see a wide range of products that have been developed using this software, as well as enjoy a wide knowledge base which can be used to further your own abilities. The Imagination Works is a one-man show as it stands, and uses a range of software outside of Multimedia Fusion 1.5 to develop it's products, such as Photoshop and other image editing software, and other Clickteam products such as InstallMaker. The iWorks has gone through two name changes, starting as "Ultraware", then becoming "Turbulence Software" and finally the Imagination Works. Under these three titles the iWorks has developed dozens of products. As you can imagine, earlier products were not developed at a very high level of quality, but as of very recently, a number of older products have been "re-released" in conjunction with other website features both to showcase earlier products and to give an idea of how the Imagination Works has evolved. |
