Velocity Dodgeball Hints & Tips
Welcome to the Hints and Tips section for Velocity Dodgeball, here you will find a few ideas and strategies on improving your skill at the game.
The lineup editor << The player characters in Velocity Dodgeball each have their own attributes, such as power, accuracy, speed etc. It is important to insure that, using the line-up editor, your best players are playing The team editing screen << Consider when building your team the maximum average skill level of each individual player, once a player's average skill level reaches that number, they will have met their full potential and can no longer be upgraded. In other words, when trading, consider this as a main factor.
Getting ready to throw... << When holding down the throw ball button, consider that while the longer you hold the button down, the more power goes into the throw, however, if you continue holding the button down even if the power ball is full, the player's subsequent throw will become far more innacurate

As mentioned above, a throw will be less accurate if you hold the throw button down too long, however, players with weaker throws can use this to their advantage as holding the button down longer usually results in a higher throw, which means they can cover more distance on the playing area
Better team = Better Profits = Better Attendance << You can only earn money by playing in league games, the better the team you play, the more money you will earn as attendance is higher. You will NOT earn money for simulating a game The lowest ranking team earns a few repair dollars << Teams falling in last place after a season are awarded a re-build fund to assist them in improving their team to be more competitive
Catching a live ball << When trying to catch a live ball thrown by an opponent, remember two things. The first is that it takes a moment (based on a player's reaction/response attribute) for the player to prepare himself to catch the ball, secondly, the player will move to catch the ball based on the ball's EXISTING height, so if the ball is high in the air, the player will raise his hands, if the ball is low, the player will kneel, a kneeling player cannot catch a ball flying high in the air and vise versa
A wee little cheat for you
  • When creating a team, most players are assigned attributes that average around 45 (out of 100) give or take 20 or so. You can create a much more skilled team by holding the '+' key down and then clicking on the 'New Team' option, hold the key down until the team is created and voila, every player should average around 75
